When choosing a veterinary facility, expect high-quality care and great service. Our dedicated team aims to deliver exceptional client service and advanced veterinary health care in a state-of-the-art facility.
Your pet’s annual check-up includes a full physical exam, assessing everything from head to tail. Since dental health is essential and home care can be challenging, an annual cleaning may be recommended to prevent tooth decay and other issues. Keeping a health journal for your pet can be helpful—note medical procedures, vaccinations, changes in habits, and any unusual behavior. Bringing this record to each vet visit can provide valuable context and continuity.
Select a vet who is calm, compassionate, and thorough in explaining procedures. For convenience, choose a clinic with qualified staff and surgical facilities for procedures that may require anesthesia, such as dental cleanings. For pets requiring complex care, we may refer you to a specialist in fields like internal medicine, surgery, or emergency care.
A Fear Free veterinary hospital is designed to ease anxiety for both pets and their owners. Staff provide gentle, low-stress care to minimize triggers that might cause negative reactions. This calming environment helps owners communicate their pet’s needs and allows pets to feel safe, which enables more accurate assessments.
With reduced stress, pets are more comfortable during exams and treatments, encouraging owners to schedule regular visits. This promotes better health outcomes through early detection of issues and timely treatment. A Fear Free environment also enables staff to offer valuable wellness advice. Ultimately, Fear Free hospitals create a safe, supportive space for effective pet care.
Fear Free pet hospitals aim to create a calm, stress-free environment for pets and owners alike. Staff use gentle tones, keep owners informed, and handle pets with minimal restraint, relying on positive reinforcement. If a pet shows signs of distress, they slow down and may suggest sedation to ensure a comfortable experience.
Many hospitals enhance the atmosphere with calming music, natural murals, and pet-friendly scents, even offering treats to ease anxiety. By focusing on comfort, Fear Free hospitals help pets receive essential care without fear or discomfort.
“Being Fear-Free certified means that your pets will undergo a more comfortable experience during their visits to the veterinary hospital. Recognizing that hospital visits can induce stress and anxiety, we dedicate additional time and attention to understanding and addressing pets’ emotions and well-being. Within our hospital, we have created an environment and ethos that fosters positive associations for our furry visitors. This is achieved through the lots of treats, affection, and personalized attention, tailored to each pet’s preferences. Our aim is to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in our patients, making their visits enjoyable and make them want to come back! Each Fear-Free certified doctor or technician has undergone extensive training and rigorous testing, ensuring their proficiency in this approach. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to meet your cherished pets and create memorable experiences together!”

From there Matt, Scott and Dr. Michael Tuder became the founding members of United Veterinary Care.

Always the champion for independent veterinary hospitals, he co-founded Veterinary Purchasing Group (VPG). With VPG, he built an animal hospital client base of over 3,000 independent hospitals in less than five years with over $300 million of industry purchasing power, helping local veterinary hospitals compete better in a rapidly changing landscape.
More recently, Scott and his partner, Matt Lender, amassed a group of 16 veterinary hospitals, which they leveraged to form United Veterinary Care (UVC). Together, he and Matt, along with Dr. Michael Tuder, became the founding members of UVC.
